George Lilanga (1934-2005) was a Tanzanian painter and sculptor. Trained at the tingatinga school of painting in Dar es Salaam, he is also known internationally for his peculiar pictorial style, characterized by figures with bright colors and clear outlines, highly dynamic and caricatural.
